Early Development
Lensmark is a photo-monitoring plugin for WordPress, where data is collected by citizen(-scientists).
How it works
1. Scan
People passing by a photopost scan the QR code.
2. Shoot
They authorise the browser of their smartphone to access the camera, place the device on the mount and take a photo.
3. Send
The photo taken is transferred to a form field, which can then be submitted to the website.
This plugin was developed as part of a bachelor thesis at Bern University of Applied Sciences.
Commissioned by the Förderverein Region Gantrisch, a student at Bern University of Applied Sciences developed this plugin as part of his bachelor thesis. The plugin allows to turn a WordPress website into a photo-monitoring platform, where data collection is done by volunteers.
